Adding small routines and keeping those routines are the best way to care for and maintain your hair. Routines are always tricky when there are too many steps. If these steps are unrelated to what you do daily, it just won’t stick. Start small and start adding them to already established time frames. This will help you get started and continue bettering your hair care routine.

It is always easy to just take a shower and not do anything for your hair, not even brush your hair if that is you, and you complain about frizzy, dull hair then it is time to do something about your hair.

Start decreasing the temperature everytime you shower, so you do not shock your body and not feel it is sustainable for you to continue. Take as much time as you need, just make sure you do not scare yourself off and feel like it is not sustainable.

Pollution in the air, weather, styling tools, even our pillows continuously work on damaging our hair. Even when we take great care of our hair, it is always important to deep condition our hair and give the nutrients and hydration our hair needs.

You can either take 5 minutes to prepare a DIY hair mask or purchase a deep conditioning treatment and apply it on your hair. Either way, it just doesn’t take too much time. After you apply it on your hair, you can continue with your day with whatever you’d do regardless.

  • Don’t tie your hair too often and too tight

Tying your hair too often and too tight causes your hair to not breath, and it also causes split ends. So, try to let your hair loose whenever you can and let that hair breath. When hair is tied too tight, it breaks and damages the hair.

  • Don’t dye your hair too often

Bleach, chemicals in hair dyes they all damage our hair tremendously. It is important to let out hair breath and be themselves. This might not work out for you, and that is fine. But just keep in mind, if this is what you want to do, you need to give extra care, work harder and more often to keep your hair healthy.

  • Embrace your natural hair texture and stay away from styling tools

Styling tools are those extreme temperatures all the hair care blogs warn you about. Heat just damages hair. If you have to use then make sure to use heat protectant sprays before using styling tools. After each use, try to apply a leave-in conditioner or a hair mask.

  • Use essential oils
